Initial Design Consultation
Initially, we will meet with you on the site of your project to determine the scope of work.
At the meeting, we will discuss the design style and components you have in mind and your overall budget and our design fees.
The initial meeting also will provide you an opportunity to see some examples of our work and also answer any questions you may have.
To schedule an initial design consultation, you may complete the online contact form form or contact us by phone.
Preparing for the Initial Meeting
To prepare for the meeting, complete and submit through our website the Design Questionnaire.
This will help define your needs and the scope of services.
Choose all the outdoor features you would like to accomplish your goal.
For example, you may want an outdoor living and dining area to cook and entertain; or perhaps, you may want a swimming pool and spa for the family to enjoy.
Our design specialties include: swimming pools, spas, water features, screened porches and decks, sunrooms and pool houses, outdoor living and dining areas, outdoor kitchens and fireplaces, patios and verandas, arbors and pergolas, fire pits, terraced retaining walls, porticos, entrance gates, and ornamental plantings.
Once we are engaged as your landscape architects, we will go back to your site with your site plan and do an on-site analysis to gather measurements and elevations of the site and photograph existing elements such as the house and utilities.
Next, we will produce a few concept plans for your review.
We will discuss with you for example the different pool or driveway layouts to get your comments.
We will also give you rough estimates for the construction based on the design features in your drawings to aid in refining the plans within budget.
Next we will take your input and refine these drawings into the master plan with greater detail.
Once you have approved the master plan and construction budget, we can provide you a proposal to prepare your construction drawings and specifications.
The construction drawings show all the hardscape elements of the design and material choices and are used for estimating, accurate layout and build of your project and are necessary to obtain county permits.
Project Management and Installation
When the construction details are completed, we can act as your liaison and help you bid the construction among several qualified contractors, or we can provide you with names of builders with outstanding skills from whom you can solicit competitive bids.
We have experience with both design and construction of hardscapes and can be involved in the process from design to installation.
We can make site visits during construction to make sure the plans are carried out and make any necessary adjustment to the design.
We are interested in achieving a successful project for you and will guide and help you to execute your vision.
We also offer as an additional service, three-dimensional computer generated perspectives of your project that give you visual support with 360 degree viewing capability.
This 3D design allows you to do a virtual tour of your future outdoor living space.
The conceptual imaging or perspectives are very useful and can help you visualize the final design.
We can also prepare for you a landscape planting plan which is essential part of an attractive landscape design.
The planting plans depict detailed information with the location of all proposed trees and shrubs and plant material within your outdoor space.
Planting designs hold specific information for installation, like scientific and common names for the plants within the plan as well as characteristics including size and quantity.
