After talking to some design/build contractors it was evident that what we were looking for required a level of detail and creativity that they (design/build contractors) could not deliver. Don and Mike quickly captured our imagination and showed us exactly what was possible with our budget and house. Not only do I take great pride in their design as I look out back but I am also constantly reassured that the investment in their expertise was worth every penny. In fact, Land & Water Design's work was so impressive that two of our neighbors had them do their design work too! I even had them do my basement design!

A favorite element of mine is the shape and size of the backyard patio and how it takes full advantage of the site and views of the woods. I also like what you did with the steps to the deck.
