The Krall's had envisioned a small stone patio under their existing deck. Faced with the obstacle of little usable space, due to a very steep yard and a forest conservation easement, we set out to design a space that would gain back area lost and give the client a usable backyard.

First we suggested removing the deck that had many unsightly support columns and in its place construct a custom Ipé waterproof deck, multi-level flagstone patio, steps, fieldstone retaining walls, in-ground spa/water feature, landscaping, irrigation, and lighting, providing the client with some much nicer options than what they first envisioned.

The McNall's contacted us to develop a design to transform their small backyard into a backyard oasis for their family.

Entering from the driveway through an arbor gateway, sounds of a waterfall emulating from the raised spa, a meandering flagstone path lined with landscaping leads to the new Ipé deck and patio area. From the deck area, an overview of the new pool, spa, walks, and landscaping, all accomplished in a small backyard.

The Davis's wanted for their townhouse an improved front and side entrance with plants to beautify, a small pool for recreational swimming with spa features and a small deck.

We first addressed their grading and drainage issues by leveling the yard, adding retaining walls, a lap swimming pool with spa like fountain jets, ample deck area to entertain, an outdoor grill area, and an inviting entrance walk with landscaping. We accomplished more than what our client anticipated, making good use of the space.
